Hi everyone! We've been getting a lot of submissions of portrait shots, beautiful ones, but right now we have so many portrait shots and not enough full body shots I need to put some restrictions for a bit.
For the time being, most portrait shots will not be accepted. This will not be permanent, its just while I work to get more full body photos in the group.
Guidelines for full body photos
must be sharp, in focus
limbs, paws, all parts of the animal must be visible. Grass, snow, anything covering a part of the animal - these photos can't be accepted I'm sorry! On rare occasion exceptions are made. (This guideline a lot of people miss, its one of the most common reasons I have to reject submissions)
Can't be far away shot or low resolution
Again thank you SO much photographers for your contributions! Please tell other photographers you know who may have full body references to contribute!

I'm sorry + request for photographers
I just wanted to apologize for not updating the group with new photos as often as I used to. There is only one of me that runs this group, and I work full time now so updates are fewer. I will try and do better though.
A huge help for me is when photographers submit photos instead of me having to go search and send out requests. Please photographers, keep submitting those photos that meet the group guidelines (see our front page). It is a HUGE help and saves me much time. Thank you all, I can't believe the group is almost at 1000 members now
Animals + sorting question READ PLEASE!
Hey everyone! Thank you all for the full body photos being submitted, keep them coming! So just a few housekeeping questions
1. I am trying to keep the folders sorted by species and by pose (i.e. bears folder grouped by polar bear, black bear brown bear ect, cat folder grouped by standing, walking ect.) What do you guys think of this? Is it helpful or do you find it to be annoying because you want to see everything all mixed together? Let me know
2. Are there any animals you guys would like to see more of, or less of?

Groups reminders- folders and expired submissions
Hey everyone, and welcome to our new members!
Just some quick reminders
:bulletred: Please submit to the correct folder, I am unable to move all submissions so those submitted to the wrong folder will not be accepted.
:bulletred: A submission that has expired is a submission that has not been accepted. I think many people get angry or confused thinking I am not looking at their submissions- I promise you I look at every single submission. I just find this a kinder way to deal with it but perhaps I am wrong and will have to just start using the reject option instead. A big reminder to all our members and watchers- Please, if you use the refs in the group in any way, submit your art to the "art done using group photos" folder! We have nearly 500 members and 700 watchers- its a great platform to get your artwork seen by many :)
Hey all, so I did decide to go ahead and sort the folders where its feasible to sort by pose. So far, I've finished sorting the domestic cats and horse folder. The last folder that will be sorted by pose is the domestic dogs. These are really the only folders where I can do this for since the others have multiple species.
